PM Modi brought a silver umbrella

Before the consecration of the new idol of Shri Ram Lalla, Prime Minister Modi, dressed in golden colored kurta, cream colored dhoti and Uttari, reached the venue on foot from the main gate of the newly constructed Ram temple and entered the sanctum sanctorum. During this time, the Prime Minister also brought a silver umbrella wrapped in red cloth in his hand. In the sanctum sanctorum, Modi started the rituals amid the chanting of mantras by the pundits. He took a ‘Sankalp’ for the life consecration ritual.

The consecration of the new idol of Ramlala was done at 12.29 pm.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat also participated in the ritual. On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present. PTI quoted an official spokesperson as saying that the new idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated at 12:30 in the afternoon (12:29). During this, army helicopters showered flowers on the temple premises.

The arrival of guests in the temple premises started from 8 o’clock in the morning.

Earlier, guests had started arriving at the temple premises from eight in the morning. All the guests were made to enter the temple premises via Janmabhoomi Path, they were made to wear Ramnami Patka and were made to sit at designated places. Meanwhile, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal and Shankar Mahadevan also gave their presentation.

Yogi Adityanath posted welcome
