Anubrata Mondal Alias Keshto is living his life in Tihar Jail, Delhi. His daughter Sukanya Mandal and former government bodyguard Saigal Hussain are also imprisoned there. To pray for the well-being of jailed Anubrata, a special yagya was performed at Bolpur Railway Ground on Saturday. In this, about 11 pundits, through Vedic chanting, offered five quintals of vine wood and 50 kg of desi ghee. There were also arrangements for lunch for the visitors. This Mahayagya was performed on the initiative of well-wishers of Anubrata Mandal, former Birbhum district president of Trinamool Congress. This special yagya was performed with the wish for the well-being of Anubrata and his family. This ritual took place at Rail Maidan Durga Temple on Saturday. People from all sections of the society were invited. Trinamool District Core Committee members had attended the religious ritual.
Women thanked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for Laxmi Bhandar
On Saturday, Mahila Trinamool Congress workers took out a thanksgiving procession in Samudragarh of Purvasthali block of East Burdwan district, expressing happiness over the donation of Rs 1,000 and 1200 under the Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme.
