Speaker rejected BJP’s demand
The BJP parliamentary party presented an adjournment motion in the Assembly demanding discussion on the allegations of corruption against the state government in the CAG report. However, Speaker Biman Banerjee did not allow discussion. Biman Banerjee said that this cannot be discussed. When Subhendu Adhikari asked the Speaker why he could not discuss this topic? Speaker Biman Banerjee said, “Now there is no need to discuss this issue in the Assembly. Only after this the BJP MLAs started protesting.
