VIDEO: Will Congress use caste-based counting as a weapon in Lok Sabha elections? How much will ‘Bharat Nyaya Yatra’ benefit?

On the occasion of the 139th Foundation Day of Congress, many leaders addressed a huge rally in Nagpur, Maharashtra. A glimpse of Lok Sabha elections 2024 was seen in the address of Congress leaders. In particular, former Congress President and party MP Rahul Gandhi once again emphasized on caste based calculation. In his address, he said that Congress will conduct caste based census after coming to power at the Centre. Let us tell you that Congress has started its campaign for the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year through a rally named ‘Hain Narayaz Hum’. This campaign was started from Nagpur, the stronghold of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh i.e. RSS. Addressing the rally, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan accused BJP of opposing the caste-based census. Also said that this exercise can lead to better social justice. Chavan said that his party wants a caste-based census in the entire country. He said that Congress is also of the opinion that 50 percent limit on reservation should be removed. The entire exercise (of caste census) will help in focusing on the issues related to reservation in all the states, but BJP is busy opposing it. Meanwhile, let us tell you that under the leadership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Bharat Nyay Yatra will be taken out from Manipur to Mumbai from 14 January to 20 March. This visit will take place at a time when preparations will be going on in full swing for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024. If you remember, Rahul Gandhi had taken out Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir from 7 September 2022 to 30 January 2023. This yatra passed through 75 districts and 76 Lok Sabha constituencies of 12 states and two union territories. After this it was believed that his visit benefited Congress in the assembly elections of Karnataka and Telangana.
