Varanasi: PM Modi will reach Varanasi today, will hand over the second Vande Bharat train to Kashi, will inaugurate Tamil Sangamam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching his parliamentary constituency Kashi on a two-day visit on Sunday. PM Modi’s two-day visit to Varanasi is scheduled on 17 and 18 December. According to information received from the PMO office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new terminal of Surat International Airport on Sunday before his visit to Varanasi. Apart from this, he will inaugurate the building of Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB). He will spend about 25 hours in Kashi. During this, he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 37 projects worth more than Rs 19 thousand crore for Kashi and Purvanchal. On the first day of his Varanasi visit, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam from Namoghat on Sunday evening. He will also flag off the Kanyakumari-Varanasi Tamil Sangam Express train from here. 1400 dignitaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will visit Varanasi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya in Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 to be held from 17 to 31 December. Besides, an exhibition of art, music, handloom, handicrafts, cuisine and other special products of Tamil Nadu and Kashi will also be organised. Cultural programs based on the cultures of Kashi and Tamil Nadu will also be organised. The second edition of Kasi Tamil Sangamam will also feature lectures on literature, ancient texts, philosophy, spirituality, music, dance, drama, yoga and Ayurveda. Apart from this, seminars will also be organized on Innovation, Trade, Knowledge Exchange, Edutech and Next Gen Technology.
