UGC NET: UGC NET syllabus will change from June, know what will be the change in all 83 subjects under NEP.

Changes are being made in the syllabus of BUGC NET. After the syllabus change, students will be given enough time to prepare. UGC Chairman Prof M Jagadish Kumar has informed that the updated syllabus of 83 subjects will be released soon. Earlier in the year 2017, the syllabus of UGC NET was changed. After this, the new education policy 2020 came into effect, hence under NEP, a new syllabus of all 83 subjects of UGC NET has been prepared.

The committee of experts has focused on multidisciplinary approach and holistic education in the new syllabus. Soon the draft of the new syllabus will be shared with the states and universities and it will be uploaded on the UGC website. The change in the syllabus has been approved in the meeting of the UGC Council held on November 3. Now UGC will form an expert committee in this matter and start the process.

Changes will be made in these subjects

The subjects of UGC-NET which are to undergo changes include 83 subjects including humanities and social sciences, Indian and some foreign languages, as well as some science related subjects. Examination is conducted twice a year: UGC NET is conducted twice a year. The responsibility of conducting the examination has been entrusted to the National Testing Agency (NTA). This examination is conducted online twice a year in June and December.
