Bihar government will soon appoint 6060 headmasters in all the advanced secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. The Education Department has sent its requisition to the General Administration Department. The department will send it to Bihar Public Service Commission in a day or two. BPSC can release advertisement any time this month.
To become a head master, one should have at least eight years of continuous service on the post of secondary teacher under the Panchayati Raj Institution and Municipal Body Institution of the State Government. At least four years of continuous service will be required for the post of higher secondary teacher in a state government school. Apart from this, if the candidate is a teacher of a private school, then he should have 12 years of experience of teaching in a private secondary school and 10 years of experience of teaching in a higher secondary private school.
According to departmental experts, by reducing the time limit for teaching experience in schools, a large number of candidates will be available. Therefore, the age limit has been reduced. The notification for reducing the age limit has been issued about two months ago. It is noteworthy that last year, advertisement was issued for the post of 6421 headmasters through Bihar Public Service Commission. Only 421 could be selected in this. Of these also only 369 had contributed to schools. In this way, more than four thousand earlier vacant posts and two thousand more new posts have been created. At present, these appointments of 6060 vacant posts on Tuesday are only for the upgraded Plus Two schools. All these schools have been upgraded from class eight in the last three-four years.
