On this day in the year 1948, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse. On the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi paid his tribute by offering flowers on the photo of Mahatma Gandhi in Purnia, Bihar.
