Bareilly : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the virtual redevelopment foundation stone of 508 railway stations on Sunday morning under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. It includes Lalkuan, Farrukhabad, and Kasganj railway stations of Izzatnagar Railway Division of North Eastern Railway (NER). Under the AMRUT scheme, 17 stations of Izzatnagar Railway Division are being selected and developed.
Work has also started on many of these stations, but the Prime Minister will lay the virtual foundation stone of Lalkuan, Farrukhabad, and Kasganj railway stations at 9 am on Sunday. NER Rail Administration has started preparations for the foundation stone laying ceremony of PM’s railway station.

Divisional Railway Manager Rekha Yadav said that Kasganj station is being redeveloped at an estimated cost of Rs 33 crore, Farrukhabad railway station Rs 21 crore and Lalkuan station at an estimated cost of Rs 24 crore. The facilities being provided earlier at these stations will be further improved. He told that starting from parking, seating arrangements in the booking area, facade lights, widening and raising platforms, cleanliness, waiting rooms at stations, public convenience centers, horticulture development, automatic stairs and lifts are proposed on every platform. Automatic stairs and lift will make it easier for the disabled.
MP-MLAs will also be involved
Public Relations Officer of Izzatnagar Railway Division, Rajendra Singh said that local MLAs, MPs, freedom fighters have been invited to the program in Farrukhabad, Kasganj and Lalkuan. The program will start at 9:00 am on Sunday.
Underpass will be built at Chaudhary Talab crossing of Bareilly
DRM Rekha Yadav told that the Chaudhary Talab railway crossing is closed. Large vehicles move from the overbridge. It was requested by the people’s representatives that an underpass should also be made here. This proposal has been approved by the Railway Administration, soon the work of making the underpass will start.
Online arrangement, yet NOC is not issued for months
NOC related to laying of underground power line is not received from Railways for months. Regarding this, the DRM said that arrangements have been made, soon the Northeast Railway Administration will issue NOC. However, the Power Corporation is the most affected by this arbitrariness. Because, many of his projects have been pending due to non-receipt of NOC on time. Electrification projects in the Airforce Bareilly campus are also affected by this. Many other such applications are pending with the Northeast Railway officials for months. On this the DRM was told that everything in the department is online and transparent.
