In 2015, in a historic step, the government had approved the induction of women as fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force. This was the first time that women were going to play the role of pilots of fighter planes in the country’s armed forces. The seed of the story of Kangana Ranaut’s film Tejas released today came from this decision. The film’s director Sarvesh Mewada gave this information in a conversation with BollywoodWallah. The basis of the film’s story was a strong decision, but the film remains completely weak. From the story, screenplay, acting to the technical aspects of the film, it has not been able to do justice to the film and its subject. While watching the film, one feels strongly that the sole purpose of the film is to glorify Kangana Ranaut, but the makers need to understand that the character on the silver screen can be larger than life only if the story and screenplay are good. Give that strength to the character. Which this film completely misses. This film has neither been able to salute the bravery of women fighter pilots nor arouse the spirit of patriotism.

Same old story of Pakistani mission

The story of the film is about Tejas (Kangana), who was present at the naming ceremony of Tejas fighter plane and her dream was to grow up and become an Air Force pilot. If she is the face of the film, then the dream also comes true. She not only becomes a pilot but also gets involved in a mission to go to Pakistan and rescue an Indian secret agent captured by Pakistani terrorists and how she accomplishes this mission. This is the story of the film. He also has a past. The film keeps going in and out of the future and the past.

Advantages and disadvantages of the film

Talking about the merits of the film, its only merit is that it is a women-oriented film and it is on the issue of ending gender discrimination, even if it is on the war front. Talking about the weak aspects of the film, the involvement of Indian women as fighter pilots and real events like the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and Ram Temple have been added to the film’s story, but the story of the film is completely fictional. Excessive cinematic liberty has been taken in the story of the film. Is it so easy to carry out a mission outside the country? Can only two people together complete the entire mission? You feel this constantly while watching the film. It is said at the beginning of the mission that Indian planes will take off from Pakistan’s soil and carry out this mission, but no one knows how this will happen, only one day is left for the approval of the mission. Then Anshul The character gives the idea on the phone as to how this can happen, who is not involved in this mission. From this it can be understood how weak the screenplay of the film is. In the climax of the film, the terrorist leader keeps repeating the dialogue ‘I want to see the destruction of India’. After some time he starts getting irritated. What a lack of communication the makers have. This scene shows this. Well, not only this, other dialogues were also very superficial. The VFX of the film is as weak as its story. The trick of the Hollywood film Mission Impossible has also been used in the film. The music of the film is average, but there is no need for songs in such films. The makers needed to understand this.

Kangana’s acting remains weak

Kangana is considered a capable artist, but she has not been able to leave the mark in acting as was expected from her. The kind of questions she asks out of curiosity during her training in the film seem childish. Kangana has looked weak on many occasions. She has not been able to bring that impact in the character of Tejas. Anshul Chauhan definitely impresses in his acting in the film. The rest of the characters including Ashish Vidyarthi and Varun Mitra had nothing special to do. The work of the remaining characters was only to support Kangana’s character.
