The company people reached there on receiving information about tunnel collapse and started sending oxygen inside through the same water pipe. Later, on the night of the incident, at around 9 o’clock, dried fruits and dried fruits were sent through the same pipe.

All the workers trapped in the tunnel used to encourage each other: Vishwajeet and Subodh told that they had mobile phones in the tunnel. He used to switch off the mobile at five in the evening and then turn it on in the morning and switch it off again after checking the time. In this manner the time of morning, evening or night was determined. All the workers were expected to get out safely. Everyone encouraged each other. Meanwhile, the rescue team and officials talked to the family members through the pipe, and their morale increased. When things like food, dry fruits, apples, mobile chargers etc. were sent through six-inch pipes, more hope arose.

The government gave a check of Rs 1 lakh each to all the laborers, happiness returned among the laborers: Vishwajeet told that after coming out of the tunnel, we used to think what help the government will give to our family, but when we were told that the Uttarakhand government has given a check to all the laborers, When it was announced to give one lakh rupees each, I felt very happy. On Wednesday morning, all the laborers were given a check of Rs 1 lakh each as assistance.

Vishwajeet told that all the workers are safe and all are being treated at Chinali Sod Hospital. It is operated in the name of Tunnel. He demanded from the Prime Minister and Jharkhand government not to send them to work in the tunnel. They got employment in Jharkhand only.
