Skoda supercar re-launched!

Skoda Superb has been re-launched in India after a year. The Czech Republic’s leading car manufacturer has launched the premium sedan at a price of ₹ 54 lakh (ex-showroom), based on the previous version sold in India. The Superb has returned to India after a year, as the company had to discontinue it due to the stringent BS6 Phase 2 emission standards. Skoda has launched the Superb as a completely built unit (CBU). The company will sell only 100 units of this sedan and its delivery will start at the end of this month.

Skoda Superb Design

In terms of design, the Superb is not much different from the previous Superb sold in India. It comes with a Synchroda grille flanked by full LED headlights with washers. LED fog lamps are mounted on the bumper. On the sides, the Superb gets 18-inch Propass aero alloy wheels. The LED taillights come with dynamic turn indicators. The sedan also gets Laurin & Klement inscription on the front fender.

Skoda Superb Features

Skoda has also updated the feature list of the new Superb. This includes a new 10.2-inch digital driver display, a 9.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, tri-zone climate control and more. The front seats can be electronically adjusted in 12 different ways while the driver’s seat gets massage and memory functions. The two-spoke steering wheel has paddle shifters.

Skoda Superb Engine

Skoda will offer the Superb in only one variant. The sedan comes in its Laurin and Klement versions, which are equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine that is compliant with the current emission standards in India. This engine comes with 7-speed DCT gearbox. This engine is capable of generating power of 187 bhp and peak torque of 320 Nm.

Skoda Superb Variant & Color Option

Skoda Superb is offered with three exterior color options. This includes the new Rosso Brunello and Water World Green colours. The third color option is Magic Black which was introduced before the sedan was discontinued.

Skoda Superb Safety Features

The Skoda Superb will be one of the safest cars offered by the company in India. While the Slavia and Kushaq returned with 5-star ratings in the Global NCAP crash tests, the Superb has also achieved a similar safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash tests. Apart from nine airbags, it also comes with advanced safety features like 360 ​​degree camera, active chassis control, tire pressure monitoring system and park assist with emergency braking assist.
