Sarkari Naukri: After amendment in the rules, the way for the appointment of CDPO is cleared, the exam pattern will be like this

Ranchi, Sanjeev Singh: After the amendment in the appointment rules in Jharkhand, 64 Child Development Officers (CDPOs) will be appointed by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). Appointment will be made only after success in the three-hour main examination. Also, the pattern of question papers will be descriptive. In this appointment examination, blind candidates will now get additional time of 20 minutes in each paper. Primitive tribes will now get the benefit of horizontal reservation. Disabled candidates will be provided facilities like other examinations in the written examination on the basis of certificate obtained from the competent authority. JPSC had started the process of inviting applications for appointment to 64 posts, but in the appointment rules initially sent by the state government, there were no clear guidelines for blind and disabled candidates including the pattern of the main examination. As a result, the Commission had sent a letter to the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department requesting them to clarify the situation. After this, the department has sent the revised rules to the Commission and requested to start the appointment process.

Even after setting the date, the commission was not able to provide the link to apply.

JPSC had issued advertisement on June 8, 2023 and sought online applications till July 26, 2023. But the link to apply was not given. Again, by issuing notice on 26 June 2023, the Commission had extended the date of application from 17 July to 16 August 2023.
