Ranchi: Current Under Secretary of the Assembly Mohd. Shamim has been arrested by the SIT in the case of leaking question paper in JSSC graduate level combined competitive examination. Mohd Shamim has an old relationship with controversies. His name came up in the illegal appointments made in the Assembly during the time of Speaker Alamgir Alam. He has already been running a racket in the name of getting appointments. MLA Saryu Rai had released a CD in 2008 in the assembly appointment scam. In this there was a conversation with Mohd. Shamim. He was confessing to money transactions. This CD was the strongest basis for revealing the secrets of the assembly appointment scam. Justice Vikramaditya Commission, which investigated the illegal appointment, had called Mohd. Shamim. Mohammad Shamim turned out to be a big player. Before appearing before the Commission, he got a medical certificate for throat pain from Paras Hospital in Patna. Expressed his inability to say anything before the Commission. After this the Commission directed to get his throat examined by RIMS. After much coercion, Shamim agreed to the investigation. After appearing before the Commission, Shamim was talking happily.
CD could not be checked due to technical reasons
The CD provided by Saryu Rai related to the assembly appointment scam could not be properly investigated. Vikramaditya Commission had also approached other states for FSL investigation of the CD. The Commission could not reach any decision regarding the CD due to technical reasons.
Disciplinary action was also taken against Mohd. Shamim
Everyone is aware of the exploits of Mohd. Shamim in Jharkhand Assembly. He has always been active regarding illegal restoration. He has been claiming to get the appointment done with money. His image as an assembly officer is not good. Former speaker Dinesh Oraon had also taken disciplinary action against him.
