MNS leaders leave the party in protest against Raj Thackeray’s support to Prime Minister Modi
Several Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) office-bearers have resigned from the party in protest against MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in the state. Party General Secretary Kirti Kumar Shinde, who was among those who left MNS, informed about his decision on the social media platform Facebook. It is noteworthy that voting for 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be held in five phases between April 19 and May 20 and the counting of votes will take place on June 4.
