Process of triple test started after the order of Jharkhand High Court

Ranchi: After the order of Jharkhand High Court, the process of triple test has started in the state also. State Backward Classes Commission has sent a six-member team to Madhya Pradesh (MP) for study. According to the information, municipal body and panchayat elections were held in MP under triple test. The commission team will study MP and prepare a report and submit it to the state government. On the basis of that, triple test can be started in Jharkhand also.

Commission Chairman Yogendra Prasad said that along with Commission members Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Laxman Yadav and Nandkishore Mehta, three Under Secretary level officers have also gone to MP. They will study in different districts. Mr. Prasad said that we are committed to the triple test as per the court order, the Commission wants to complete it soon.

Grant of Rs 1600 crore from 15th Finance Commission stuck

Let us tell you that the delay in municipal elections in the state is affecting the development works. Due to non-holding of municipal elections, the state is being deprived of the grants received from the 15th Finance Commission. A grant of about Rs 1600 crore from the 15th Finance Commission to the Jharkhand government is stuck. The state is to get this amount for the development of cities and civic amenities of the state. It is known that municipal elections are pending in 13 municipal bodies of the state for more than three years and in the remaining bodies since April last year. At present, municipal bodies are being run through administrative officials instead of public representatives. Due to which no participation of the public is being ensured in the civic administration.
