The police have cracked the case of firing during a wedding ceremony in Machhiya Simarda village of Godda Mufassil police station. The police have also identified the accused in this case. While giving information in the Mufassil police station premises on Thursday evening, SDPO JPN Choudhary said that the firing incident was carried out by Jitendra Mandal. Jitendra Mandal was dancing in the wedding of his uncle’s daughter. While dancing on the DJ floor in an intoxicated state, there was firing by Jitendra Mandal, in which he himself got injured. Brother-in-law Vibhuti Sah was also shot in this firing. Both were injured. After this the police investigated the matter. After collecting intelligence, the police recovered the pistol used in the incident on April 25 from the garden of Jitendra Mandal. The pistol was kept hidden inside straw, in which the police registered a case of Arms Act against Jitendra Mandal under case number 71/24. SDPO said that the recovered pistol is a country made pistol. The police raid team included SDPO JPN Chaudhary, DSP Kumar Gaurav, station in-charge Krishna Kumar, PWD Roshan Kumar, PWD Rajesh Kumar Ranjan, PWD Yogesh Kumar Yadav etc.
