Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Rohit Godara, associated with the gang, has taken responsibility for the murder of Gogamedi in a post viral on social media. He has said that Gogamedi was supporting and empowering his gang’s enemies.
The attackers also shot the person who introduced them to Gogamedi.
Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra said that the attackers entered Gogamedi’s house on the pretext of talking and after talking for some time, they started firing. According to him, the guard of Gogamedi also fired back. Mishra said that later both the attackers also shot Naveen Shekhawat who was accompanying them. According to him, Gogamedi and Naveen died in this incident while their acquaintance Ajit was seriously injured.

According to the police, three people went to Gogamedi’s residence and told his security personnel that they wanted to meet Gogamedi. After the incident, two attackers came out of the house and snatched a scooter from a person and ran away.

After the murder of Gogamedi, supporters protested in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Churu, Udaipur demanding the arrest of the criminals.
After the dispute with Lokendra Singh Kalvi, Gogamedi had formed Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
Following differences with Karni Sena founder and patron Lokendra Singh Kalvi, Gogamedi broke away from Shri Rajput Karni Sena in 2015 and formed Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. Both these organizations had opposed the film Padmavat for alleged tampering with historical facts in the context of the Rajput community.
