Kanpur: Municipal Corporation caught 43 monkeys as soon as they got photos along with helpline number and location to get rid of stray animals.

Kanpur. Now people will get relief from stray animals which have become a cause of terror for the people of the city through phone. Kanpur Municipal Corporation has issued a helpline number for this. WhatsApp number has also been issued. People can send photos and locations of stray animals on these numbers. Along with formation of cattle catching team, Quick Response Team (QRT) has also been formed. She will go to catch animals. 30 bulls and 8 cows were caught from the main markets and some other areas including Birhana Road and sent by vehicles to Nandishala and Gaushala. Along with this, the Municipal Corporation started a campaign to catch the monkeys. A total of 43 monkeys were caught in cages and sent to the forest. The campaign started from the Ganga Barrage. The Municipal Corporation’s cattle catching staff swung into action after pedestrians were injured by stray animals in the city.

The Municipal Commissioner has decided that a special campaign will be run in all 110 wards of the city for 30 days only to catch the bull. A target has been set to catch 500 bulls in the campaign. On the instructions of Mayor Pramila Pandey, it was decided that the pet cows caught from the streets of the city will not be released under any circumstances. The animal owners who are abandoning the cows after milking will have to be taught a lesson.
