IPL 2024: CSK gets a big blow, Mustafizur returns to his country

IPL 2024 Chennai Super Kings have once again suffered a major setback during the season. In-form Chennai fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has returned back to Bangladesh. Rahman had to return to his country for the visa process in America for the T20 World Cup 2024 to be held after the IPL. In such a situation, he will not be present for the team in the match against Sunrisers on April 5. Let us tell you, Mustafizur is expected to return by Sunday or Monday, depending on when his passport will be returned. If Mustafizur Rahman returns to India on Monday (8 March), there is a possibility that he may be seen playing against Kolkata Knight Riders. Otherwise Mustafizur may have to miss that match also.

IPL 2024: Mustafizur should return to Bangladesh to get American visa: Junaid Younis

Bangladesh Cricket Board President Junaid Younis confirmed to Cricbuzz on Wednesday, ‘Mustafizur has come to Bangladesh to get a US visa for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He will give his fingerprints at the US Embassy on April 4 and will later return to India to join Chennai.

IPL 2024: Mustafizur is in form

Mustafizur is performing brilliantly in the current IPL. He has played a total of three matches so far, out of which he has made seven batsmen his victims. He occupies the first position in the list of Purple Cap Cup. Mustafizur started this campaign by defeating four batsmen of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first match of this season. However, he proved to be a bit expensive against his old IPL team Delhi Capitals, conceding 47 runs while taking just one wicket in four overs.
