Indian Railways: With the onset of winter, Indian Railways has once again canceled the operation of trains on a large scale. The reason for this is being said to be fog. The process of trains getting delayed by several hours has started due to the initial fog. In such a situation, their problems have increased considerably due to cancellation of train operations for several months. In the cold wave, people are forced to find new means to reach their destination. This is the situation when Railways keeps claiming to be equipped with fog safe devices. It is being told that GPS based fog safe device was introduced in 2010. Railway trains are now equipped with portable GPS-based fog safe devices, which alert the locomotor pilot about upcoming landmarks, signal crossings and stations up to 500 meters in advance. Even after this, the common passengers are not able to understand the cancellation of trains. However, it is also being said that the railway equipment has not been able to make any major impact on the number of trains being delayed, rescheduled and canceled due to weather. In such a situation, the Railways works by slowing down the speed of trains in winter or the operation of trains is cancelled. According to many loco pilots, on clear days we run trains at the permitted speed, which is generally around 100 km per hour. Whereas when there is fog, the speed is not maintained more than 30-35 km per hour. According to railway officials, the device tells you about the incoming signal. But, it does not tell whether the signal is green or red. This may also cause the locomotive pilot to stop the train to confirm whether they can proceed, causing delays. In such a situation, as a precaution, Railways has also reduced the frequency of many trains. The frequency of many regularly running trains has been reduced, while many have been cancelled.
After the decision of Indian Railways, cancellation of trains due to possible fog has started from December 1st. The trains which are being canceled for three months mainly include Prayagraj Sangam-Yoganagari Rishikesh Haridwar Express, Prayagraj Sangam-Chandigarh, Prayagraj Sangam-Bareilly, Kanpur Inter City Express. Apart from this, Railways has also reduced the frequency of trains like North East Express, Triveni Express etc. These trains, which were running regularly, will now run only two to four days a week for the next three months. The special thing is that despite anti-fog devices being installed in railway engines, trains are being cancelled.
These trains coming to Prayagraj will remain canceled
