INDIA Alliance Meeting: ‘India’ alliance meeting on Tuesday, many issues including seat sharing will be discussed

Opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (India) The meeting of prominent leaders of the constituent parties will be held on Tuesday 19 December. In which many issues including seat distribution, holding joint public meetings and making a new strategy for the next Lok Sabha elections will be discussed. This meeting is taking place at a time when Congress has suffered a crushing defeat in the recently concluded assembly elections. Congress has faced defeat in the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Seat distribution will be discussed in the meeting

Sources say that in the meeting of India Alliance, discussions are possible mainly on setting a positive agenda, seat distribution, making a fresh strategy, and joint public meetings. This meeting will be held in Ashoka Hotel, Delhi.

Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister before the meeting Mamata Banerjee Said that the Prime Ministerial candidate of ‘India’ alliance will be decided after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. When asked whether the ‘India’ alliance was delaying in taking action on issues like seat-sharing, Mamata Banerjee said, better late than never. The TMC chief said that he is ready to campaign across the country for the alliance partners. He also held a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and discussed the political situation in the country.

Wherever there are regional parties, BJP is nowhere to be seen: Tejashwi

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav said that the committees of the alliance that were formed earlier were working behind the scenes and preparations were being made for the elections. Yadav said that everyone in the opposition group will play their role. He emphasized that regional parties are very strong. The RJD leader said, wherever there are regional parties, BJP is nowhere to be seen. Most of the regional parties are with the ‘India’ alliance.

Nitish and Uddhav Thackeray also reached Delhi to participate in the meeting.

When asked about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s future role in the ‘India’ alliance, Yadav said that everyone’s role is equal and everyone’s objective is the same which is to oust the divisive forces from power. Top Janata Dal (U) leader Nitish Kumar and Shiv Sena (UBT) supremo Uddhav Thackeray reached the national capital on Monday evening for the meeting.

India alliance will move forward on these issues

A senior Congress leader said that to counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the opposition parties intend to move forward with the slogan ‘Not I, We’ while maintaining unity. He said that the challenge now before the opposition parties is to come up with an alternative positive agenda to counter the BJP in the next general elections. Sources say that the ‘India’ alliance may put forward the issues of caste-based calculation, legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) and social security for workers.

26 parties formed organization to end Modi wave

26 opposition parties have formed ‘India’ alliance to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the next Lok Sabha elections. Till now three meetings of ‘India’ alliance have been held in Patna, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
