INDIA Alliance Meeting: Agreement on seat sharing, decision on PM face and coordinator soon, preparation for Maharally in Patna

Opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (INDIA)’s fourth meeting was held in Delhi on Tuesday. Many important decisions were taken in this meeting. In which seat sharing was agreed upon. The candidature for the post of Prime Minister and the convenor were also discussed in the meeting, on which a decision will be taken very soon.

Decision on seat sharing in second week of January

Seat sharing was also discussed in the meeting of India Alliance. In which it was decided that the seat distribution has to be finalized by the second week of January 2024. A day before the meeting, Aam Aadmi Party convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had increased the problems of the opposition parties. He had demanded all the 13 seats for Punjab.

Leaders of 28 parties attended the INDIA alliance meeting

INDIA ALLIANCE In the press conference after the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, 28 political parties of INDIA alliance participated in the fourth meeting and 28 party leaders presented their views. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that first there will be discussion on coordination of seats at the state level and if any issue comes up, then it will be discussed at the national level.

Kharge’s name proposed as Prime Ministerial candidate

In the meeting of India Alliance, the opposition’s Prime Ministerial candidate for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 was also discussed. It was also decided in the meeting that the decision regarding the face for the post of Prime Minister will be taken after the victory in the elections. However, MDMK leader Vaiko said that in the meeting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal proposed the name of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as a Dalit face as the prime ministerial candidate from the opposition alliance.

Opposition’s mega rally may be held on January 30

Consensus was also reached in the meeting regarding Saksha rally. It is reported that opposition parties are preparing to hold a mega rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on January 30 next year. After the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, leaders of 28 parties participated in the fourth meeting of the alliance. It is a matter of happiness that everyone united and decided how to work together in future. He said that all the parties decided to hold 8-10 public meetings.

What did Kharge say on PM candidature?

On the question related to the face of the post of Prime Minister, Kharge said that first victory has to come, after that there will be talk about it. He said, we will first try to win, then the MPs will take the decision democratically.
