Patna Road Accident: Late Thursday night, near Saidabad Chowk on NH 139 in Bikram, Patna, a high-speed Haiva hit a broken truck parked on the roadside from the front. In this horrific accident, five people including the truck driver died on the spot. Two of the dead could be identified till late night. The police is trying to find out about the other dead. After the accident, the driver of Hiva abandoned the vehicle and ran away. After this horrific accident, a crowd of villagers gathered at the incident site.
The driver and mechanic were repairing the broken truck, then the accident happened.
It is said that a truck broke down near Saidabad Chowk of Rani Talab at around 10.30 pm. After this the driver called three mechanics from nearby areas. The driver and the three mechanics parked the truck on a jack and went inside to remove the gear box. Meanwhile, a highway coming from the front hit the parked truck hard. The collision was so strong that the jack installed under the truck fell and the driver and the three mechanics working inside were buried under the truck. A Paan Gumti shopkeeper was also present at the time of the incident, he also fell prey to it. All five died on the spot.
The truck driver was a resident of Sitamarhi.
After getting information about the incident, Ranitalab police station incharge Durgesh Kumar Gehlot arrived with the police force. They sent five dead bodies to Bikram Primary Health Centre. Among the deceased, the truck driver has been identified as Jagdishwar Das of Sitamarhi and paan shopkeeper Ajit Kumar (35 years), son of Sukhdev Yadav, resident of Dorwa village. It is said that a large number of trucks keep coming and going on this road at night. The speed of trucks and highways is also very fast.
