What did Kharge write in the letter to Mamata Banerjee
Kharge wrote in his letter, As you know, the Indian National Congress has launched the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Maharashtra to spread the message of justice to heal and unite the nation. Rahul Gandhi, who is leading this yatra, had earlier undertaken a padyatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir as Bharat Jodo Yatra. He has always said that the yatras serve the larger purpose of uniting those who are today divided by the BJP in the name of religion, caste and creed and ensuring that the country’s most vulnerable people get access to social, economic and political justice. Assurance should be given. That is why these marches remained apolitical and attracted crores of people from all sections of society across India, identifying a strong, progressive and secular India for all.

Kharge said – Miscreants targeted Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Bengal
Kharge further wrote in his letter, the first Bharat Jodo Yatra ran across the country without any untoward incident and ended with a rally in Kashmir. However, you must be aware that some miscreants have targeted the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra going on in your neighboring states. This was done on political provocation but our cadre faced it bravely. I have been informed that some mischievous elements may again create obstacles in the journey. I am writing to request you to issue appropriate instructions to ensure smooth conduct of the yatra through Bengal and the safety of the passengers including Rahul Gandhi.
