Farmers ready with tractor-trolleys for Delhi march, security increased on the border

In view of the farmers’ proposed Delhi Chalo March from tomorrow i.e. Monday, Section 144 has been imposed in Delhi. Delhi Commissioner Sanjay Arora made the announcement on Monday and said that now Section 144 has been implemented in entire Delhi. Earlier on Sunday, Section 144 of CPC was imposed on the borders of North East Delhi and UP. In fact, in view of the fear of large-scale tension and social unrest due to the farmers’ Delhi Chalo march, Delhi Police has imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) in the national capital for a month. Police have expressed the possibility that farmers will try to enter Delhi from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana during March.
