Despite the administration’s ban, this Jharkhand MLA captured 50 decimal government land

Ranchi: Despite the ban imposed by the Hazaribagh district administration, Barkagaon’s Congress MLA Amba Prasad and her father former MLA Yogendra Sao have captured 50 decimals of valuable land in Hazaribagh city. The boundary has been made with a sheet of land. Khasmahal Halka employee has mentioned this in his report sent to the Additional Collector of the district. The market value of this land is at least Rs 25 crore.

In the report sent to the Additional Collector, it has been said that the land of plot number 872/1235, 873/1336 and plot number 893/1337 of holding number 302 of Mauza Cantonment belongs to Khasmahal. Its total area is 50 decimals. This land has been given on lease to Mohammad Ehsan. The lease has not been renewed after March 31, 2008. The descendants of the leaseholder do not live on the land. During site inspection, inquiry revealed that the land has been cordoned off from Chadra by former MLA Yogendra Sao and MLA Amba Prasad. This is a violation of the terms of the lease.

Earlier on November 11, the Halka employee had sent a report regarding building a boundary wall made of bricks to encircle the land. On the basis of this report, the Additional Collector had issued an order to stop the siege work. After this order of the Additional Collector, the police of Sadar police station reached the ground and got the work stopped. In the light of the order of the Additional Collector, the Circle Officer of Sadar Zone had issued a notice to Yogendra Sao, Executive Engineer Minor Irrigation Division and the lease holder and directed them to present their respective views along with the documents related to the land. However, even before this this land was cordoned off and captured.
