Deoghar: Fraud in the name of getting lease of Grain Bank land, FIR registered against unpaid minister

A case of fraud of Rs 4 lakh has come to light in the name of giving a land situated in Ghoramara of Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Limited on lease for 30 years. In this regard, Hardik Khaitan, resident of Baijnathpur Lakshmi Bihar Mohalla, has lodged an FIR in the city police station. Jagdish Prasad Rai, resident of Jogdiha village of Jasidih police station area, unpaid minister of Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Limited, Kachari Road, Deoghar, has been made accused in the case. It is mentioned in the FIR that in the year 2022, unpaid minister Jagdish showed him the land of Mauza Ghoramara of Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Limited and agreed to get him a 30-year lease for running the company for seven lakh rupees. Out of this, he gave four lakh rupees to Jagdish through cash and bank transfer.

An agreement was made for giving a 30-year lease of a land located in Ghoramara to Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Ltd for seven lakh rupees.

On March 22, 2022, Rs 25,000 was paid to Jagdish in cash, on March 26, 2022, Rs 25,000, on April 19, 2022, Rs 150,000 in cash and on March 25, 2022, Rs 200,000 was paid to Jagdish through bank transfer. The accused also gave him a receipt for the said amount. After paying the said amount, they started procrastinating from giving the land lease. After a long time, when there was delay in handing over the land to him, he demanded the return of the money. After this, he was called to the office of Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Limited, Kachari Road, Deoghar for a talk on 31 March 2024. When he reached there with his relatives and family friends, he was abused and misbehaved. They were neither ready to lease the land to him nor to return the money. Threats were given to kill him along with his family. Hardik has alleged that in the name of giving land lease, the accused cheated him of Rs 4 lakh. It has also been said that the fraud has been committed by transferring the money to one’s personal account by talking about giving the land of Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Limited on lease. In this matter, he has registered a case with the city police station in-charge and demanded action against Jagdish, the unpaid minister of Deoghar Co-operative Grain Bank Limited, Kachari Road, Deoghar. A case has been registered in this regard in the city police station, but the police is hiding it from the media.
