Teachers employed in Bihar will have to appear for a competency test to get the status of a state employee. In protest against which thousands of employed teachers took to the streets of Patna on Tuesday. The demand of the teachers is that the requirement of competency test should be abolished and the status of government employee should be given unconditionally. Teachers reached Gardnibagh protest site and protested against the government and Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak. The teachers who were protesting since morning reached the BJP office in Patna in the evening. Where the employed teachers were demanding to meet Samrat Chaudhary. Let us tell you that Bihar Shikshak Ekta Manch had called for siege of the legislature regarding its demands. In which employed teachers and librarians from every district of Bihar participated. Considering the number and attitude of the protesters, the Gardnibagh protest site and the area around the Legislature were converted into a police cantonment.

What is the demand of employed teachers?

  • To give unconditional status of state employees by abolishing the provisions of competency test to employed teachers.

  • To train untrained teachers while keeping them reinstated in service.
