Bihar Budget 2024: Government opened treasury for computer equipment and labs in government schools, know how much money was received

Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has said that by March 2025, equipment and labs for computer education will be arranged and implemented in all the schools of the state. While replying to a short notice question of Dr. Ramanuj Prasad in the Assembly on Tuesday, the Education Minister said that computer education has been started in 4075 government schools of the state. 1987 Computer education is being imparted through ICT in primary and higher secondary government schools. He said that an order has been issued to install 10-10 computers in all the middle schools of the state, while 20-20 computers in the higher secondary schools. Equipment and labs for computer education will be installed in all the remaining secondary and higher secondary schools during the session 2024-25.

Search for land in nine subdivisions without degree colleges

In response to Tarkishore Prasad’s brief question, the Education Minister said that the state government is taking every possible step regarding higher education. In this series, government degree colleges are being opened on priority basis in those subdivisions where till now there is not even a single degree college. After identifying 18 such subdivisions without degree colleges, government degree colleges have been established in nine of them. In most of the remaining nine sub-divisions, there is delay due to non-availability of land. If members make efforts in this direction, the government will get help. Shri Chaudhary said that the government also recognizes private colleges. Two central universities have also been established in the state, while the land selection process for the establishment of the third one is under process.

Degree college in Simri Bakhtiyarpur will be completed by next year

On the question of Yusuf Salahuddin regarding the establishment of degree college in Simri Bakhtiyarpur sub-division of Saharsa district, the Education Minister said that the construction of the building was getting delayed due to non-availability of land. The DM has informed through the letter that 2.5 acres of land is available. A re-estimate has been made for building construction. Construction will be done in the next financial year.
