CM Yogi said in Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan, if women are self-reliant then the society will automatically become strong.

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was in Gorakhpur on Thursday. There in the Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan at Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium, he said that self-reliance of women is an essential condition of a strong society. In a society where women are empowered, no one can stop that society from progressing. When the country completes 100th year of independence in the year 2047, we will get a developed India. In which half the population of the country will develop itself. The government will make efforts at every level for women empowerment so that their safety, respect and self-reliance is ensured.

Interacted with the beneficiary women associated with the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and also distributed part-time loans of Rs 54 crore 25 lakh to 3617 self-help groups. CM said that only by developing half the population the government will be able to achieve new heights of development. The government assures all women that the government will work with full commitment for their interests. The work of taking the government schemes to the people will be done with full responsibility.

CM Yogi said that in the last Lok Sabha session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed the Nari Shakti Vandan Act to increase the representation of women in the Lok Sabha and Assembly. Under this, women will now get the benefit of 33 percent reservation in Lok Sabha and Assemblies. In the past, there was very little representation of half the country’s population in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies. Now 33 percent of their seats will be reserved without any discrimination.

Chief Minister Yogi said that PM Modi has started various programs for women empowerment. Women have been the focal point of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Matru Vandana Yojana etc. According to the vision of the Prime Minister, today every woman and farmer is being given the benefit of all facilities without any discrimination. He said that those who do not have housing live in a lot of trouble, women live in more trouble. Through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), the government has provided the benefit of housing to 61556 eligible persons in Gorakhpur alone. Under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, 38866 people have received the benefit of housing in Gorakhpur.

CM said that the total number of self-help groups formed in Gorakhpur under the National Rural Livelihood Mission is 20847. In which more than 3 lakh 5 thousand women are involved. In the district, 63563 women are benefiting from Destitute Pension, 54062 women from Old Age Pension and 6094 women from Divyangjan Pension Scheme. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, 2 lakh 91 thousand women have received free gas connections. 56 self-help groups are running ration shops. In which 438 women are involved.

He said that earlier women were not allowed to go out of the house but today they are taking advantage of all the public welfare schemes through self-help groups. The double engine government has started many programs for their upliftment. The Chief Minister said that under the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the state government is providing financial assistance for the education of the girl child from birth to graduation. Under this scheme, its amount will be increased to Rs 25 thousand from the month of April. More than 17 lakh daughters have been included under this scheme.

The Chief Minister said that in the direction of respecting women, the state government has completed the marriage of more than 3 lakh daughters under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. Under the ownership scheme, 90 lakh women have been given house ownership rights. Women self-help groups can also prepare and distribute good food for nutrition campaigns in every development block. With this they can earn more profits. BC Sakhi is removing the lack of banks in rural areas.

The Chief Minister said that this is the first year of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. We all will have to work in the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation in the next 25 years i.e. by 2047. In this period, we all will have to make efforts so that every farmer and youth is happy and self-reliant and half of the country’s population feels safe and respected without any discrimination. MP Ravikishan Shukla, Metropolitan President Rajesh Gupta, District Panchayat President Sadhna Singh, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, Legislative Council Member Dr. Dharmendra Singh, MLAs Pradeep Shukla, Vipin Singh, BJP Regional President Sahajanand Rai, District President Yudhishthir Singh etc. were present in the program.
