The alliance of six parties in Bihar will work under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. In response to the question in which states JDU will contest elections after the announcement of elections in five states, Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that the decision will be taken by the party leaders after holding a meeting at the party level. BJP is not conducting caste census to suppress the interests of extremely backward people.
JDU’s national general secretary and spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said on Monday that the BJP government at the Center is not conducting the caste census only to crush the interests of the backward classes. In the last caste census, the number of extremely backward people in the country was 31 percent, but the recent census reports in Bihar and Odisha show that the extremely backward community is in majority across the country. If caste census is done at the national level, the number of extremely backward people will be more than half the population. Therefore, conducting caste census at the national level is the biggest need of the present time. JDU General Secretary said that BJP should tell how it is going to fulfill its promise of development of the country without developing the backward class. BJP should tell that how will it make the country a world leader without taking forward the country where half of the population is labeled as extremely backward? He should tell that if the backward classes do not get their rights during the golden period of independence, then when will they get it? BJP should know that its anti-OBC attitude is creating resentment in the society, the consequences of which they will have to bear in the upcoming elections.
RLJP said caste census is completely fake
RLJP has raised questions on the report of caste census. Party’s state spokesperson Lalan Kumar Chandravanshi said that the state government has misled the people through caste census in order to gain applause. This report is far from the truth. Allegation of less number of Mali community in caste census
Mali community leader Prithvi Kumar Mali said on Monday that the number of Mali community has been deliberately underestimated in the caste census. At present the number of Mali community in Bihar is more than 20 lakh. In the caste census, there are only 3.30 lakh people of Mali community in Bihar. In the ethnography report of Mali Malakar castes conducted by the General Administration Department at N Sinha Institute of Social Studies in the year 2016, this number is 13 lakh 15 thousand.
