Under the Deepotsav, 24 lakh lamps will be lit at Ram Ki Paidi on November 11 and ‘Light and Sound’ show will start here on the eve of Diwali. District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said that on November 11, 24 lakh lamps will be lit at Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of river Saryu. A grand light and sound show will also be organized daily at Ram Ki Paidi in Ayodhya from November 11. According to the program proposed by the tourism department, there will be two shows every day and it has got the green signal from the government.

Demonstration at Jantar Mantar against Israel’s action on Gaza

On Monday, a large number of people including students demonstrated at Jantar Mantar regarding Israel’s attacks against Hamas and demanded diplomatic support to Palestine and action against Israel. Delhi Police said that it has detained about 60 people for not taking prior permission for the protest.

The SpiceJet plane carrying Indians stranded in war-torn Israel has developed a technical fault and the plane has been sent to Jordan to fix the problem. SpiceJet is operating special flights using A340 aircraft under ‘Operation Ajay’. Sources said on Monday that a technical fault was detected in the plane as soon as it landed at Tel Aviv airport. To resolve the problem, the plane was taken to Jordan, which is the nearest center to resolve such problems. SpiceJet had no immediate comment.
