During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi traveled to 12 states across the country. Patole had said that his team would also undertake a bus tour next month to interact with people and expose the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Center and Eknath Shinde’s government in Maharashtra. BJP is part of the Shinde government in Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra Congress President did not reveal the dates of Gandhi’s next padayatra and said that its program would be announced later. Patole said he himself would lead the padyatra in eastern Vidarbha, which includes Wardha, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, Bhandara and Nagpur districts. The Congress MLA said that Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar will lead the march in Amravati, Washim, Buldhana, Akola and Yavatmal in western Vidarbha. Former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan will lead the yatra in western Maharashtra, while Mumbai Congress president Varsha Gaikwad will lead the yatra in the financial capital, he said.
