Bengaluru: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge invites leaders for opposition meeting on July 17-18

Bengaluru Opposition Meet: Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has sent invitations to top opposition leaders for the meeting of opposition parties to be held in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18. Kharge wrote a letter addressing top opposition leaders reminding them about their participation in the opposition meeting called by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on 23 June. In his invitation letter, Kharge wrote that the meeting was a great success as we were able to discuss various pressing issues threatening our democratic polity and unanimously agreed to fight the next general election unitedly. Congress President reminded other leaders that we have agreed to meet once again in the month of July.

Looking forward to meeting you in Bangalore

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge further wrote in his letter that, I believe it is necessary to continue these discussions and take forward the momentum we have created. We need to work together to find solutions to the challenges our country is facing. Not only this, Kharge further wrote in his letter that, I request you to please make sure to attend the meeting to be held in Bengaluru on July 17 at 6 pm and then attend the dinner. The meeting will continue on July 18 from 11 am. I look forward to meeting you in Bangalore.

More than 15 parties participated in the first opposition meeting

For information, let us tell you that in view of the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024, the first meeting of the opposition was held in Patna. More than 15 parties had participated in this meeting. Many other leaders including AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had arrived to attend the meeting held in Patna.
