Yakub Qureshi News: The troubles of former minister Yakub Qureshi have once again increased in Meerut. The Yogi government has given permission to file a charge sheet against a Danish cartoonist in the case of announcement of a reward of Rs 51 crore for beheading him. Yakub Qureshi was in jail for nine months and recently he got bail in the gangster case.

Gave controversial statement in public meeting in 2006

Former minister Yakub Qureshi, resident of Sarai Bahleem of Meerut Kotwali, had given a controversial statement in a meeting held at Faiz-e-Aam Inter College on 17 February 2006. After this, BJP leader and former Labor Welfare Board Chairman Sunil Bharala had lodged a report at Delhi Gate police station on August 8, 2007. On this, the police had sought permission from the state government to file a charge sheet in this case. A case diary was sent to the government in this regard. Later it came to light that the case diary itself was missing. Because of this, permission could not be obtained from the government in this case. After this, the police again prepared the case diary and sought permission from the government.

Approval to file chargesheet from the government

Area police officer Amit Kumar Rai said that the government has given approval to file the charge sheet. Chargesheet will be filed in a day or two. The former minister is on bail in this case. It is believed that the charge sheet can be filed on 25th or 26th September. Former minister on bail from jail in gangster and fraud cases. On March 31, 2022, an FIR was registered by the police against 17 people including Yakub Qureshi and his two sons Imran and Firoz for running a meat factory illegally.

After this, in November, the police registered a gangster case against seven people including Yakub, Imran and Firoz. On January 7, Yakub and Imran went to jail, while on August 28, Yakub got bail from the High Court. Since then he is out of jail.

Investigation on half-baked action in confiscation of property

Meanwhile, investigation has been started again on the incomplete action of confiscation of property of Haji Yakub Qureshi and his family. At the same time, questions have also been raised on the action of the administrator appointed for confiscation. A list of 32 vehicles was issued by the administrator. Only ten vehicles were seized. At the same time, the list of confiscation of schools, hospitals and meat factories was not even prepared. Because of this, the action of 14A is completely thrown into question.

Yakub Qureshi’s property included 29 plots and 32 vehicles. Its estimated price was said to be Rs 31.77 crore. The then CO Kithore, who was made the administrator, was entrusted with the responsibility of action. Not all the plots have been confiscated yet. Also, out of 32 vehicles, only ten vehicles have been seized. It was claimed that a second list of property confiscation will also be released, in which the school located at Shastri Nagar, the hospital located at Hapur Road and the meat plant located at Alipur will also be included. This list has not been released yet by the police. In such a situation, the entire matter has been re-investigated by the SSP.
