Ranchi: Liquor businessman Yogendra Tiwari is refusing to accept even the paper evidence during ED’s interrogation. During the ongoing interrogation from 21st October, his attitude was non-cooperative. During interrogation, he is being shown documentary evidence related to his business activities. Also, questions related to him are being asked, but he is not ready to accept any of his mistakes. He is also refusing to accept the e-mail ID through which he has exchanged information with his CA as his own.
He has also not given the books of account of his business establishments to the ED. Besides, he is also not giving the answer as to why he did not keep the Books of Accounts in his business establishments or removed them, whereas there is a provision to keep such documents in the business establishments only. Yogendra Tiwari was taken on remand for eight days by ED on October 21.
The contract for wholesale trade of liquor was given in 2021-22
Let us tell you that Jharkhand liquor scam accused Yogendra Tiwari had been trying to avoid ED’s questions during interrogation a few days ago. He had not given correct information in matters related to liquor trade. However, he had admitted that he had got the contract for wholesale trade of liquor in the year 2021-22. On the question related to making demand draft from a single bank of one district for the wholesale traders of 19 districts, he had given information only about the draft made in the name of his company. He had denied having any kind of business relationship with the remaining wholesale traders.
