XISS and UNICEF Jharkhand will jointly do child protection

Ranchi. XISS Ranchi and UNICEF Jharkhand will together promote child protection. An MOU was signed between the two institutions on Wednesday. To strengthen child protection in the state, organizations will run “Sampark” program. This will help the district administration to ensure child protection mechanism. The contact program will be run in Deoghar, Dumka, Garhwa, Giridih, Godda, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Koderma, Pakur, Palamu, West Singhbhum, Sahibganj and other districts of the state. Action will be ensured to eliminate child marriage and violence against children from the society and on related matters. Director of XISS, Dr. Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ said that the organization has been taking serious steps from time to time regarding social issues. In collaboration with UNICEF Jharkhand, children will be provided their rights. This will secure the future of the youth. Project head Dr. Ananth Kumar said that a dedicated team will work in every district of the state. It will also monitor child protection related issues and provide prompt information.
