In which sections the case was registered against Brijbhushan

The counsel for the wrestlers protesting against Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had told on Saturday that the Delhi Police has registered an FIR under sections 354, 354 (A), 354 (D) and 34 of the IPC. The copy of the other FIR was not made available to us as it would be given only to the victim’s family.

Apart from Brij Bhushan, another WFI official has been named in the FIR.

Delhi Police registered an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Saturday. Now, according to the report of the Indian Express, in this FIR, apart from him, another officer of the Wrestling Federation of India has been named. The name of this person is Vinod Tomar who is currently posted as Secretary in WFI. Vinod is also considered close to Brijbhushan.

Complaint should have been made earlier for action: Yogeshwar Dutt

Yogeshwar Dutt, Olympic medalist wrestler and a member of the committee probing the allegations of sexual harassment of wrestlers, said that ‘the police will take action only when you inform them about it. She will not do this if someone sits at home. Wrestlers should have done this 3 months ago. I had said earlier also that if they want action, they should inform the police.
