Rajdev Pandey, Patna. Girls are giving tremendous competition to boys in the field of research in higher educational institutions of Bihar. According to the AISHE report for the year 2021-22, women researchers have overtaken men in doing PhD in law. For example, a total of 52 students did PhD in Chanakya National Law University in the year 2021-22. Of these, the number of male researchers is 20 and the number of female researchers is 32. In the research field related to agriculture and management courses, there is a tough competition with men.
More daughters than boys doing PhD in law
According to the report, a total of 88 research scholars did PhD in Bihar Agricultural University and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural Universities. Of these, the number of male researchers was 44 and the number of female researchers was less than 40. Eight out of 13 PhDs were done by girls in special subjects like Aryabhatta Knowledge University. In Purnea University, the number of female PhD holders was more than male researchers. Women researchers in BN Mandal, Patna University and Management Institute have competed almost equally with men. At present, in the year 2021-22, the total number of PhD holders researchers in Bihar is 5508. Out of these, 3681 are male researchers and 1827 are female researchers.

Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department Deepak Kumar Singh said that definitely the daughters are working very hard. CM fellowship scheme is also being introduced to promote research in higher educational institutions of the state. For this, the teachers engaged in research are also being considered to bring a fellowship scheme. Its results will be seen very soon.
