Ghaziabad : On Monday, the police recovered the body of a 30-year-old woman in DLF Colony of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. Police said in the initial investigation that the woman was pregnant and lived alone in a rented house. She died due to pain during delivery at home. The deceased woman has been identified as Priyanka Sarkar. Who was originally from West Bengal. The police further said that she was living in the house on rent for the last one year. The woman worked in a private firm. When the police broke open the main door of the house, both the woman and her child were found lying dead on the floor. The delivery of the child was also not done properly. Police further said that we have informed the family members of the deceased woman who are residents of West Bengal.
Information was given to the neighboring police when the house smelled
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sahibabad Bhaskar Verma said that when the woman died, her neighbors had gone out of town and returned home on Monday. When the foul smell started coming from the woman’s room, they informed about it at the nearest police station. Police reached the spot. The police further said that they are yet to ascertain the marital status of the deceased woman. The dead body of the woman was found in a bloody state in the house. There was no sign of any kind of intrusion in the house, as the door of the house was locked from inside. And the police had to break open the main door to enter the house. ACP Bhaskar Verma told that when the family members of the deceased woman come here from West Bengal, we will gather more information.
