India scored 410 runs against Netherlands on the basis of brilliant century innings by middle-order batsmen Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul and half-centuries by Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Netherlands will have to score 411 runs to win this last league match of the World Cup at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

India made a great start by winning the toss and batting first. Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill added 100 runs for the first wicket. Both the opening batsmen scored brilliant half-centuries.

After Gill was out, Virat Kohli came to the crease. He also showed his attitude and played a memorable inning of 51 runs. Rohit Sharma and Kohli got out after scoring their respective half-centuries, then Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul made a partnership of 200 runs.

Shreyas Iyer scored unbeaten 128 runs on 94 balls, while in an attempt to play a big shot, KL Rahle was out after scoring 102 runs on 64 balls. Rahul became the player to score the fastest century for India in the World Cup.
