Will recharge plans be expensive? Airtel made such a demand, read full news

Telecom Tariff: Jio and Airtel are at the top among the leading telecom companies in India. Be it plans or network, there is competition between the two companies on everything. 5G users may be shocked by the new news. According to reports, Jio and Airtel are going to end the unlimited 5G data plan after a few months in 2024. With this, plans can also become expensive. According to the new report, companies are also emphasizing on increasing revenue growth with the help of 4G tariff.

Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel recently said that its average earnings per subscriber (ARPU) has seen a significant increase on its own but the real improvement will come only from adjusting the tariff rates.

Bharti Airtel Managing Director (MD) Gopal Vittal, while discussing the company’s December quarter results, said that the question is not about whether the tariff rates are correct or not. The question is when will this work be done.

Vittal said, real improvement will come only when the duty rates improve. I have said earlier also that the question is not whether there will be a reform in tariff rates or not, the question is when it will happen.

A top Airtel official said, in some quarters the increase in ARPU has been more and in some quarters it has been less. But in a slightly longer period, ARPU has clearly seen an increase on its own.

Along with this, Vittal said that offering free data on 5G network is a contradiction in terms for any money making initiative. Bharti Airtel’s December quarter consolidated net profit rose 54 percent to Rs 2,442.2 crore on the back of growth in high value customers.
