Kawasaki Eliminator vs Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: The demand for cruiser segment motorcycles has increased significantly in India. Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650 dominated the middleweight cruiser segment in the market. In comparison, Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has launched the new Eliminator cruiser bike in the market. After the arrival of this bike, a challenge has arisen in front of Super Meteor 650. In such a situation, it has become a bit difficult for the customers to decide which of these two to buy and which to leave in the middleweight cruiser bikes segment. Platform and design of the Eliminator and Super Meteor 650

The new cruiser bike of Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki is the Eliminator, which is built on the Ninja 400 trellis frame. This has helped Kawasaki maintain a low seat height and comfortable riding position, while the chassis is capable of delivering sporty performance. A comfortable footrest has been provided for the rider’s feet under the body of the motorcycle. On the design front, the Eliminator gets a round headlight, split seats and a large fuel tank.

At the same time, Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is also built on a new frame designed by Harris Performance, which has been specially developed for designing the motorcycle. The Super Meteor 650 also offers a comfortable riding position with forward set pegs, wide handlebar, dual exhaust and round headlight.

Eliminator and Super Meteor 650 engines

The Kawasaki Eliminator uses a 451cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, while the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 uses a larger 648cc air-cooled parallel-twin setup. Super Meteor 650 is more powerful. However, the engine of the Eliminator is sportier. Besides, its weight has also been increased.

Features of Eliminator and Super Meteor 650

The Kawasaki Eliminator motorcycle comes with traditional telescopic front forks, twin shocks at the rear, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, LED lighting all around, a simple LCD dash and 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. There are no electronic assists or quickshifters in the motorcycle.

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, on the other hand, comes with non-adjust USD front forks manufactured by Showa, dual rear shocks, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels and a semi-digital Instrument is provided. There are no electronic assists or quickshifter in the Super Meteor 650 even though navigation is available.
