Ranchi: BJP state in-charge Laxmikant Vajpayee had reached the capital on Saturday to attend the rally organized on the occasion of the conclusion of ‘Sankalp Yatra’ of BJP state president Babulal Marandi. Shri Vajpayee says that the people of Jharkhand are looking at the state BJP as an alternative. He clearly said that in Jharkhand we will fight the assembly elections under the leadership of the workers. He also ruled out any future relationship with JMM and said that it is impossible.
On the question of any future alliance with JMM in Jharkhand politics, he said that this is an imaginary question. Against which we are giving evidence that they are deeply immersed in corruption, how can we sit with them. Hemant Soren government has cheated the people of the state. There is no place which has been abandoned. There has been looting in mining. The unemployed have been cheated. The public eats its bread due to its efforts. He needs law and order, even that is not able to provide? Shall we sit with them? Hemant Soren is congratulated by his friends.
Q. What possibilities does the party see in Jharkhand in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections?
We are moving ahead with the resolve to win all the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The party organized a program to gherao the secretariat against the state government and our workers came out like arrows of power. The state government filed fake cases against the workers and it has worked like a lifeline for us. There is anger against this government in the entire state. Babulal Marandi’s resolution journey has been unprecedented.
BJP reached out to the common people by exposing the corruption of the government that nurtures terrorism. In Jharkhand, the party will perform much better in the Lok Sabha elections. From Kashmir to Kanya Kumari, the public is not ready to hear the name of anyone other than Modi in the Lok Sabha elections. Elections are held in the states as per their own schedule, but there is no doubt in the Lok Sabha.
Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Mother India is safe from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, this is the perception of the common people. Our army entered Pakistan’s den and carried out a surgical strike. The state government has nothing to do with development. He is deeply immersed in corruption. The message against this government has reached every person through the Sankalp rally. People are now looking for alternatives in the state.
You said there is no doubt in the Lok Sabha. There are assembly elections immediately after that, is there any kind of doubt in that?
Vajpayee: There is no doubt even a thousandth part of the tip of a needle. We have charismatic leadership, the brightest form of which is Narendra Modi. Narendra Modi is working for development rising above caste, religion, worship system and sect. Modi ji will give by creating a penalty corner and our workers will score the goals.
Q. Under whose leadership will the party contest the assembly elections? Who will be your face in the state?
Vajpayee: We will contest elections under the leadership of BJP workers and lotus flowers.
Raghuvar Das was an OBC face in Jharkhand politics. What happened that a decision was taken to remove a former Chief Minister from active politics and make him a Governor?
Vajpayee: From ward president to state president. From the Chief Minister of the state to the National Vice President of the party. Raghuvar Das has accepted every responsibility gladly. Now the party has given an opportunity to work as Governor. He will work as the constitutional head. Odisha will benefit from his experience. He will also fulfill this responsibility very well. The party is like a mother.
Only the party will decide when and what work will be taken from which son. I also stayed at home for six years. Kept working as a party worker. When the party realized that work had to be done from me, responsibility was again given to me. The party has taken a collective decision regarding Raghuvar Das. Raghuvar Das has also accepted this very clearly.
Four months have passed since Babulal Marandi became the president, the state committee could not be formed?
It is true that a new committee could not be formed. If there is one person to blame for this, it is Laxmikant Vajpayee. I consider myself guilty. Organization General Secretary, State President and I had to sit together. I got the responsibility of Rewa division in Madhya Pradesh elections. Organization General Secretary is also busy in Chhattisgarh. State President Babulal was among the common people in the Sankalp Yatra. The committee has to be finalized. Unable to sit for two hours due to busy schedule. There is no confusion, no dispute anywhere. The only reason is that we are not able to sit together.
The state government alleges that the central government is misusing ED and CBI?
Were all the people arrested by ED-CBI not involved in corruption? The number of people who have been chargesheeted, is it wrong? Are the facts given in the charge sheet wrong? Why doesn’t Hemant Soren go before ED? If Hemant Soren is not wrong, then tell ED. Running here and there to escape. There is fear in their mind. People with him are in many states. Why don’t these people go to the public? The truth is that all of them are immersed in corruption. The central agency is doing its work.
Many opposition parties are demanding that the central government conduct caste census.
Vajpayee: BJP has not accepted the caste census. The figures given by Bihar government are unbelievable. The caste census has been done in haste. This should have been done taking time.
