After that he also fulfilled many big responsibilities. He was elected MLA from Ujjain South for the first time in 2013. After this, he retained the assembly seat in 2018 and again in 2023. The BJP MLA was serving as Higher Education Minister in the cabinet of outgoing Chief Minister Chauhan.
