Mohan Yadav has reached the assembly after winning from Ujjain South for the third time. He started politics as a student leader. He was elected Joint Secretary of Madhav Science College in 1982. After that he became the president in 1984. In 1984 itself, Yadav became the city minister of ABVP Ujjain. Later he became the Sahakhand Karyavah of RSS Ujjain branch in 1988. After that he also fulfilled many big responsibilities. He was elected MLA from Ujjain South for the first time in 2013. After this, he retained the assembly seat in 2018 and again in 2023. The BJP MLA was serving as Higher Education Minister in the cabinet of outgoing Chief Minister Chauhan.
