The second story is that once the son of Nawab of Awadh, Shuja-ud-Daula, fell very ill. All the expert doctors had given up. The Nawab’s ministers pleaded with Baba Abhayram Das and convinced him to see the prince. After reciting some mantras, Baba sprinkled Hanumanji’s charanamrit on the prince, due to which the prince got cured in a few days. The Nawab became happy at this and asked him to ask for something. Baba said that it was Hanumanji who saved my life, not us. If you wish, build a temple of Hanumanji. What happened next, the Nawab took the initiative to build a temple on 5 acres of land.
Bajrangbali is the king here
The Nawabs of Awadh helped in the construction of Hanumangarhi temple and now this complex is spread over an area of 52 bighas. When Lord Ram came to Ayodhya after winning from Lanka, Hanumanji also came with him and kept protecting Ayodhya by staying in the fort here. When Ram started going to Paramdham, Hanumanji was made the king of Ayodhya, hence Hanumanji sits here as the king of Ayodhya, whereas at other places he is Ram’s servant. This is the reason why there is a tradition of seeing Hanumanji before seeing Lord Ram in Ayodhya.
