A big news is coming out about Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh. According to the information, he will not be able to take oath as Rajya Sabha MP on Monday. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has not given permission to Sanjay Singh to take oath. On behalf of the Chairman, it was said that the matter is still with the Privileges Committee. Let us discuss here that Sanjay Singh had taken special permission from Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court to go to Rajya Sabha, but now efforts have been made to stop him from taking oath.

The court gave minor relief

It is noteworthy that AAP leader Sanjay Singh is in jail in a money laundering case related to the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi. On February 1, he had reached the court for interim bail petition. The court rejected his bail plea but gave a minor relief. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court had given permission to Sanjay Singh to go out of jail and take oath. After this, Sanjay Singh was about to take oath on Monday, however the Chairman refused to allow it.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Delhi

ED had arrested ‘AAP’ leader Sanjay Singh on October 4 last year. On December 22, the court had rejected Singh’s bail plea saying that he was linked to crime proceeds of Rs 2 crore and the case against him was genuine. Sanjay Singh was elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Delhi for the second term last month.
