In Bihar, amid the dispute between Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak and Raj Bhavan, on Monday, ABVP workers reached to surround the residence of KK Pathak. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers reached in front of the residence of the Additional Chief Secretary, protesting against the action against the university. The police tried to stop the protesters and some activists were detained by the police.
Let us tell you that on Monday, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers had come to surround the residence of Additional Chief Secretary KK Pathak. These workers arrived with banners in their hands and started shouting slogans. Called KK Pathak a dictator and raised slogans like KK Pathak go back. After which the policemen immediately tried to stop these protesters. During this time there was a minor scuffle between the workers and the police. There is information that some protesters have been detained by the police.
ABVP has presented its stand on this entire issue. Hareram Singh, Office Minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Patna Metropolitan, said that the education system of Bihar is suffering the brunt of the dictatorial and stubborn attitude of Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, KK Pathak. The siege of KK Pathak’s residence and the movement have been started in protest against this dictatorial system. Freezing of university accounts by KK Pathak shows mental deformity and if the ban on operation of university accounts is not lifted, the movement will become more violent.
The ABVP leader said that the payment of salaries of teachers, employees and pensioners has been stopped for the last several months. This is nothing less than a human tragedy. Because of KK Pathak, the education system has become a medium of recovery. Said that the autonomy of universities is in danger due to the arbitrariness of the education department. Due to the continuous dictatorial and stubborn attitude of the officials of the education department, the situation is chaotic.
The ABVP leader said that the Chancellor of the universities is the Governor and hence only he has the right to give directions. The council leader also expressed displeasure over disobeying the Governor’s order and described the education department officers as unruly. He demanded immediate removal of the ban on operation of accounts of all universities.
