Patna. Bihar is highly vulnerable to various weather related hazards. Heat wave, hailstorm, rain, storm and lightning, flood and drought, fog, haze, cold wave disrupt life. Keeping in view the safety of the people, the state government has made arrangements for weather forecast for five days. For this, automatic weather stations have been made at the block level. The state government is also taking help from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) regarding weather forecasting. The Bihar model of weather forecasting is not only being appreciated, but the entire country will also adopt this model. Seeing the success of the Bihar model, ISRO President S Somnath will also come to Bihar.
How is weather forecasting?
Senior scientists of Bihar weather centers analyze the data received from the automatic weather centers established in all the blocks of the state and the data received from ISRO and assess the weather forecast. Prabhu, senior scientist of the Meteorological Center, says that the block level meteorological center keeps receiving data about temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction every 15 minutes.
Weather forecast for five days
He told that these data are analyzed by combining them with the data received from ISRO satellite. This analysis is done by a team of scientists through special computer software. He told that on the basis of this analysis the weather forecast is made for five days. Special Secretary of the department, Sanjay Kumar Pansari said that the team of Bihar Meteorological Center has trained professionals from IIT and national level institutions and they are doing excellent work.

Planning and Development Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said that automatic weather centers have been established in all the blocks of the state. After this, weather forecast information is now easily available from every part of the state. A few days ago, NASA scientists also came to visit Bihar Meteorological Center. ISRO Chairman will also come. It is a matter of pride for the state.
